Description

The blade is slightly curved, with a large kissaki, yori mune, a fuller running along the back, deep gunome hamon of undulating form. A fuller at the back of the blade runs the full length of the tang. Silvered copper habaki. Iron sukashi tsuba, fretted with twisted ears of wheat. Grip bound with black lacing, almost all lost and covered with modern tape. Fuchi (kashira lost) of shakudo decorated with gold shishi in a grassy landscape. Scabbard inlaid with mother of pearl and lacquered. Kozuka hilt of iron inlaid with three cedars in copper and silver, three birds in silver and gilt copper.
