Description

Silver, parcel-gilt; the shallow bowl has an inscribed hinged handle which extends

Silver, parcel-gilt; the shallow rounded bowl has a hinge at the top, which is held in place by a slide in the form of a bull's head. The hexagonal handle has a sliding extension, which has a finial in the form of a hexafoil. The back of the silver spoon is engraved with a cost of arms, which are gilt. The front of the lower section of the gilt handle is inscribed 'Jhecus Maria' and the back is inscribed 'Jo.han.ues' The upper section is engraved with a scroll and leaves.
