Koshirae [mounting]: brownish-tinged black lacquer scabbard with a large iron kojiri, the hilt bound with buff-coloured silk braid, the fuchi-kashira of dark-patinated shibuichi with shojo (drunken sprites) in copper, silver, and gold level inlay (style of Sozaemon Masanori), menuki of groups of leaves in shakudo with gold details, tsuba of round-cornered square form with geometric borders of stylized clouds or waves with dragons in gold and silver nunome zogan, the copper kozuka of Jurojin and Daikoku in high relief with gold details, the kogatana signed Tamba Kawachi Morikuni, kogai of yamagane with bundle of plum blossoms and twigs in coloured metal inlay.
