Koshirae [mounting]: aikuchi mounting, the scabbard lacquered black with roundels of blossoms and leaves in gold makie, all metal fittings including the small kogai of silver engraved with stylized chrysanthemums, the hilt lacquered black and ridged in simulation of rattan binding, round silver mekugi heads engraved with chrysanthemums. Overall length 34.4cm
