Description

Fritware, moulded and coated in a turquoise glaze

Fritware with moulded decoration on the upper surface, which is also coated in a turquoise glaze.
Shape: rectangular tile with flat edges
Upper surface: a narrow floriated frieze occupies the upper quarter, while on the lower section a parade of animals incorporates an elephant and horse walking on a narrow band. Glaze runs from the upper surface over the edges.
Lower surface: undecorated except for drips of glaze from the upper surface
