Kirumbyong
Pottery: Unknown (Probably)
Oil bottle with lotus scroll. Stoneware, thrown, incised, inlaid in black and white slip, and celadon glazed. This oil bottle (kirumbyong) with flattened body and cupped mouth is decorated around the shoulder with a finely inlaid lotus scroll with white blooms and black leaves, bordered by pairs of white lines with and without thin incised scrolls, respectively, and with a narrow incised petal border above. Above the foot is a band of scrollwork, fluently incised. The clay body is thick and heavy and the jade-coloured glaze thickly and evenly applied. Three quartzite spur-marks are remaining on the base.
