Fragment with inlaid design. Stoneware, inlaid in black and white slip, and celadon glazed. Fragment with inlaid flower-spray panel, cranes, and diaper border.

Note

Sadang-ri or Yuch'on-ri ware.

The piece would have been fired on quartzite spurs. Characteristic is a pale bluish or a darker green glaze. The fragment can be compared with the various types of sherd found at the Yuch'on-ri kilns, which date from the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, see documentation.
