Description

Fragment with inlaid design. Stoneware, inlaid in white and black slip, and celadon glazed. Base fragment with inlaid petal border, and two large spur marks.

Note

The piece would have been fired on quartzite spurs. Characteristic is a pale bluish or a darker green glaze. The fragment can be compared with the various types of sherd found at the Yuch'on-ri kilns, which date from the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, see documentation.
