Description

Silver with engraved decoration, set with four brilliant-cut brownish-yellow citrines (quartz). The hollow pennanular brooch has two globular terminals, each set on the front face with a brilliant-cut brownish-yellow citrine (quartz). The pin has a movable thistle-shaped head with engraved decoration on the sides, set on top with one brilliant-cut cairngorm, and on the front face with another.

Note

The stones were identified as cairngorms on accession but are probably citrines, as identified by ramon spectroscopy as quartz.
