Tortoise-shell lined in gilt metal, with miniature of a triangular arrangement of flowers on a marble slab
Tortoise-shell set with a miniature in bodycolour and watercolour probably on ivory, mounted under glass in gilt metal. The circular box has slightly concave sides and a hinged almost flat lid with a chased thumbpiece. The interior is lined in gilt metal (probably silver-gilt) The circular miniature depicts a triangular arrangement of flowers, including roses, delphiniums, violas and auriculas, on a marble slab.
