Description

Off-white stoneware, press-moulded with decoration in relief, and salt-glazed

Off-white stoneware, press-moulded with integral relief decoration, and salt-glazed. Oval with a waved and cusped edge, deep sloping sides, and flat base with a shaped footring. The sides are decorated with twelve panels of different sizes, two containing a man and a bird respectively, and the others a stylized plant in relief. In the middle there is a Chinese scene with a building on the left, and a man and plants on the right. One of a pair with C.538B-1928
