Description

Mainly iron with shakudo within a raised round border, nunome. A large ship bearing the shichi-fuku-jiu from which a rope has been thrown to save some one in the water from a huge pursuing dragon; in the background on shore some musicians are seen playing flutes and a drum decorated with a mitzu-tomo-ye. All the figures heavily gilt hira-zogan. The scene is continued on the back. Signature: goshu hikone ju soheishi nyodo soten sei. Made by: soheishi nyudo soten of gushu hikone.
