Shakudo, each piece ornamented with a hawk on a hiri tree. Trees and leaves outlined in gold wire projecting slightly from the surface, the spaces enclosed being inlaid with gold hirazoluan on a polished surface. The reminder of the field covered with fine punch work, a sort of ishime suggestive of lacquer work.
