History note: Made for Gauvain Quiéret (c.1433 – before July 1470), seigneur de Heuchin, Equancourt, and Zunelande, depicted on fols. 37r and 199r in armour and wearing an overcoat with the arms of the Quiéret family with Wavrin surcharge, the same arms are in the borders; 16th century inscriptions tracing the ownership of the manuscripts from ‘Antonine de Bours, demoiselle de Marles’ to ‘Marie Quyeret, dame de Marles’ and daughter of Gauvain Quiéret, who gave it to her son Adrien de Noyelles, next to his wife, ‘Walleburge de Boetzelar’, who gave it to her son Adrien de Noyelles, seigneur de Marles, and then to his wife Marie (fols. 1r, 207v); register of the Noyelles family for the period 1526 – 1624 (fols. 2v – 4v) and arms of families related to them (fols. 1v – 2r, 5v – 6r, 204v – 206r); Richard, seventh viscount Fitzwilliam of Merrion (1745 – 1816), acquired in 1814; his bequest, 1816.
