Description

Oval gold pendant: contains, under faceted paste crystal, the upper part of a skeleton between two seated amorini blowing trumpets, above a tablet inscribed 'come ye blessed', surrounded by a looped border of gold thread, all on a background of pale brown silk. On the back of the pendant is inscribed 'J. Figfall Obt.18:mar. 98 aeta: 57'. Part of the inscription is badly rubbed. The pedant appears at one time to have been mounted as the head of a pin.
