Note

Graphite inscription below platemark to the right: "The Building by Blore - The landscape by W Miller 1823 or 5". Presumably this is Edward Blore. The inscription could be interpreted to mean that the plate was a collaboration of the two artists, but perhaps Miller engraved after a drawing by Blore. On chine collé.
