Description

Fritware, mould made, coated in a white glaze painted in blue under the glaze and lustre over the glaze
Shape: eight pointed star-shaped tile with bevelled edges
Upper surface: following the contours of the tile edge, an inscription is painted in lustre and bordered with blue or lustre lines. Painted in lustre in the centre of the tile, a palmette tree with leaves filled with dots and dashes, grows from a mound above a fish head; the ground is filled with lustre dashes. Glaze covers the surface and runs over the edges in sections.
Lower surface: undecorated except for spots of glaze.
