Fritware coated in a white glaze painted in blue, turquoise and lustre

Fritware, mould made, coated in a white glaze painted under the glaze in blue and turquoise and over the glaze in lustre
Shape: eight pointed star shaped tile with bevelled edges
Upper surface: painted around the edge with a blue line. In the centre of the tile, two confronted birds are reserved on a lustred ground containing dots and palmettes. The birds are separated by a blue and turquoise cypress tree growing from a blue mound that overlies a fish, which is also reserved in lustre. Glaze runs over the edges unevenly\par
Lower surface: undecorated.

Notes

History note: From the collection of the late Henry Wallis. On the back there is a rectangular label printed in black 'LENT BY/' stamped in purple ' . WALLIS ESQ'/ printed in black 'No.' written in faded black ? ink '116'.
