Earthenware covered with a turquoise glaze

Earthenware, mould made, covered on the upper surface with a pitted and cracked turquoise glaze
Shape: eight pointed star tile with bevelled edges
Upper surface: covered with a turquoise glaze that runs over onto the edges
Underside: undecorated except for a spot of glaze, probably from another object in the kiln.

History note: H.S. Reitlinger (d.1950); the Reitlinger Trust, Maidenhead, from which transferred in 1991.
