Description

Earthen ware coloured with glazes that are separated by black slip, gilded

Calcareous earthenware, mould made, designs outlined in black slip and coloured with white, blue and turquoise cracked glaze, with small areas of gilding
Shape: double lozenge with straight edges
Upper surface: colours are separated by a thin black line of slip. A turquoise border frames a palmette arabesque pattern with pendant buds painted in white and turquoise on a blue background. Elements of the white palmettes are also gilded.
Underside: undecorated, uneven with plaster adhered.
