Description

The steel blade is small, single edged and bearded, with a flat square back. It is covered with koftgari silver gilt foil punched with geometrical ornament. The shaft is formed of a round iron tube, also covered in koftgari silver gilt foil and punched with three bands of decoration, two geometrical, one floral, separated by mouldings. The bottom finial, a rounded baluster, unscrews to reveal a short knife bladed stiletto. At the top is a screw which holds the head in place, and a washer shaped like a lotus bud.
