Description

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Parchment, 180 x 185 mm, two lines of fragmentary text and two fragmentary four-line musical staves ruled in red on reverse.

CONTENTS: The initial introduced the antiphon to the psalms for First Vespers on Ascension Day, Viri Galilei; on reverse, sequence of the Gospel of St Mark, Ubique domi[no coop]erante et sermonem.

DECORATION: Historiated initial formed of stylized architectural motifs in blue with foliate extensions, wreaths, putti and simulated metal ornament: [V, 2 text lines and 3 musical staves] Ascension.
