The tea bowl is decorated inside with a gold floral srpay at the bottom, and a border comprising blue paterae linked by undulating blue ribbons edged with gold, an undulating continuous spray of gold leaves, and gold spots in the spaces, with a gold horizontal band below, and a gold band on the rim. On the outside there is a horizontal gold band intertwined by a leafy stem a short distance below the rim, and a gold band round the footring. The saucer is decorated to match, but has a gold circle round the central spray. The coffee cup is decorated to match the tea bowl but does not have a central spray inside.
