Factory: New Hall Porcelain Factory
Hybrid hard-paste porcelain painted in puce enamel and gold with undulating leafy stem and puce flowers and bud. Pattern no. 318.
Hybrid hard-paste porcelain, painted overglaze in puce enamel, and gilded. The tea bowl has deep curved sides and stands on a footring. The saucer (A) has curved sides, a wide central area, and stands on footring. The coffee cup (B) has deep almost straight sides curving inwards slightly at the footring, and a loop handle.The tea bowl is decorated in the middle with a gold spray with two different puce flowers. Round the upper edge is a border comprising a continuous wavy gold spray of leaves with a small and a larger puce flower repeated at intervals. Below there is a wavy horizontal gold line and on the rim a plain gold band. On the exterior there is a horizontal gold band below the rim, and another round the footring. The saucer is decorated to match. The coffee cup is decorated on the outside with the same border and gold bands on the rim and footring. On the back of the handle here are three gold stylized leaf sprigs. Pattern no. 318.
