Hard-paste porcelain painted overglaze in green, pink, puce, and purple enamels and gilt
Hard-paste porcelain moulded, glazed, and painted overglaze in green, pink, puce, purple, and brown enamels, and gilt. The footring of the saucer is unglazed, and appears yellowish buff. The cup has deep sides which open out slightly towards the rim which has four shallow lobes, and curve inwards sharply to the footring. The handles are almost rectangular and have a depression running down them on both sides. The saucer has a four-lobed rim, deep curved sides, and stands on a footring. The cup is decorated on both sides with a floral arrangement in a rectangular, shaped panel, with two floral sprigs on each side. Below the rim there is a pink and puce trellis border with a brown line above and below, and a gold band on the rim. The cup is decorated with a central bouquet of flowers within an eight sided frame surrounded by eight floral sprigs, and has a similar border with a double brown line below, and a gold band round the rim.
