PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Parchment, iii modern paper flyleaves + ii original paper flyleaves (the first is a lifted pastedown) + 72 fols. (fol. 72 is a lifted pastedown) + iii modern paper flyleaves, 232 x 152 mm (150 x 90 mm), 37 long lines, ruled in brown ink, catchwords.

BINDING: Fifteenth century wooden boards and metal bosses, re-used in the new binding, which is covered in dark brown goatskin and was made by Robert Proctor in the 1990s

CONTENTS: fols. 1r-70v St Antonino Pierozzi, Medicina dell’anima, with prologue (fols. 1r-2v)

ORNAMENTATION: Two blue initials [6-7 ll.] with red pen flourishing for Prologue and start of text; alternate red and blue initials [3 ll.] with purple or red pen flourishing for minor text divisions.

History note: Note in a sixteenth-century hand on fol. ii verso: Codex. CXI. Continet Summam S. Antonini cui titulus Curam illius habe. Sec XV; S.A. Mostras (ex- libris, fol. i verso); purchased for the Fitzwilliam Museum in 1891.
