PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Parchment, 183 x 152 mm, four four-line musical staves ruled in red ink and four lines of fragmentary text ruled in hard point on reverse.
CONTENTS: On reverse, part of the Offertory of the Mass for the Vigil for the feast of Pentecost, [Emitte Spiri]tum tuum et creabun[tur et renova]bis faciem ter[re. Sit gloria] domini in saecula [allelu]ya, followed by the rubric Agnus dei dicitur et pacis oscula datur and the beginning of the Communion, Ultimo [festivitatis die dicebat Ihesus…]; the initial S, which would have been on the verso of the original leaf, opened the Introit of the Mass for Pentecost, Spiritus domini replevit orbem terrarum.
DECORATION: Historiated initial in gold on green or dark red ground with stylized foliate motifs painted in silver and terminating in red flowers, surrounded by multi-coloured frames: [S, 4 ll.] Pentecost.
ORNAMENTATION: Blue penwork one-line initial [V] with red pen flourishing on the reverse.
