Initial from an Antiphoner
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Parchment, 114 x 110 mm, two four-line musical staves ruled in red ink and two fragmentary lines of text on reverse.
CONTENTS: On reverse, fragmentary text from the beginning of Matins of Holy Saturday: [In pace i]d ipsum dor[miam et requiescam]. [Ps.]Cum in[vocarem]. A[ntiphona. Habitabit]; the initial would have introduced the responsory for the first lesson at Matins of Holy Saturday, Sicut ovis ad occisionem ductus est.
DECORATION: Historiated initial in orange on a solid blue ground: [S, 2 ll.] Carrying of the Cross, with Christ being scourged.
ORNAMENTATION: On reverse, one-line verse initial in brown ink with brown pen flourishing.
