Historiated initial from an Antiphoner
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Parchment, 165 x 85 mm, fragment (two lines) of a musical stave ruled in red ink and five fragmentary lines of text written on alternate lines ruled in brown ink on reverse.
CONTENTS: On reverse, part of the invitatory at Matins for the Common of a martyr, [Regem sempiternu]m venite [adoremus Qui martyrem suum digne promeritis] coro[navit in celis]
DECORATION: Historiated initial in pink on gold grounds: [F, 5 ll.] Group of men, some tonsured, chanting from an open book on a lectern in a chapel.
ORNAMENTATION: Fragment of blue penwork initial on reverse, with reserved ornament and red and blue pen-flourishied infill and frames.
