Initial from an Antiphoner
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Parchment, 140 x 129 mm, one musical stave ruled in red ink, two lines of fragmentary text ruled in plummet.
CONTENTS: On reverse, fragmentary text of the end of the antiphon in the Dominican rite for Benedictus on the Saturday in the Octave of Pentecost which precedes Trinity Sunday [.... singulis manus imponens curabat] eos alleluia, and rubric Sabbato ad Benedictus antiphon; the initial introduced the antiphon for the psalms at first Vespers of Trinity Sunday in the Dominican rite, O beata et benedicta et gloriosa Trinitas, and would have been on the verso of the original leaf.
DECORATION: Historiated initial in graded pink on a solid blue ground: [O] The Trinity, flanked by kneeling friar (left) and nun (right) in Dominican habits.
