PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Parchment, ii paper flyleaves + 619 fols. (foliated i-vi, 1-613) + i parchment flyleaf + v paper flyleaves, 132 x 93 mm (84 x 63 mm), two columns, 26 lines, ruled in very faint plummet, catchwords

BINDING: Sixteenth century, brown leather over wooden boards, sewn on three supports, gold-stamped with a diamond shape and foliage design on both covers, one metal centre piece with a boss and four metal corner pieces with bosses on each cover, metal furniture for chain attachment on both covers, part of a chain still attached to upper one, two metal catchplates (pinheads modern replacement) showing a bust surrounded by the letters P, F and N (in reverse) on lower cover, two brown leather straps with brass clasps (modern replacements) on upper cover, re-backed with original spine leather pasted onto modern calf.
