beaker
Silversmith: Waite, William
The tapered body engraved at the slightly flared lip with strapwork, foliage, and pendant scrolls, moulded foot. Maker's mark WW conjoined and another mark, possibly a fleur-de-lys, both struck twice. English provincial. Engraved on base with initials "P" above "L K".
It has been suggested that the maker's mark may be a variant of those recorded for William Waite, who was working in York at this period.
