Possibly an earlier state than that on the British Museum where the spectre and figure have been re-worked in different poses (2010,7081.7621). Inscription on bottom "The castle spectre. A transparent print for windows, screens &c &c" and "From the original designe by W. Orme" and "Sold & Published as the Act directs, by Orme, Conduit Street, London._ Where may be had a variety of Transparent Drawings and new Publications".
