Description

The plain straight-sided body with a pronounced everted lip; the plain scroll handle with a shaped and slightly pointed terminal. Pricked initials - 'LW 1688.'
Unusually complete Norwich marks - Crown over Rose - Castle over Lion - old English small a - T.H. over mullet. This cup with these marks is one of very few made in 1688, the first year of the third dating series.
