Description

Warp, natural brown wool: Weft, red and red/brown wool: Plain (tabby) weave, part of bag front decorated with polychrome embroidery 'guls' or diamond/lozenge shaped motifs arranged in alternationg linear patterns; small geometric patterned borders. The stitched decoration covers approximately three-quarters of the bag; the remainder is plain red/brown. Sides stitched together (some stitching missing): top loosely sewn together: remnants of fringe/tassels.
