Note

This plate is decorated in the style of the plates from the Sèvres' Empress Catherine Service of 1778, but with floral motifs substituted for the cameos on the rim, and a bouquet of flowers for the wreath enclosing the Empress's cypher in the centre. The Fitzwilliam Museum has a Sèvres plate from the Empress Catherine Service, see C.51-1961
