Unbleached cotton (three sides hemmed), printed in brick red with the nursery rhyme "The Life and Death of Jenny Wren". One large central illustration surrounded by 12 smaller ones and the 15 verses.
A note attached records "Handkerchief belonging to my eldest brother Longfield, who died 1806, aged two years, of whooping cough".
