Linen embroidered with polychrome silks in chain and darning stitches. Pattern formed by 6.5 repeats of a vertical wavy stem on which are set alternately a curved narrow serrated leaf and a large carnation-like flower, both enriched with floral sprays. There is a subsidiary pattern formed by double and wavy stems which cross the other and on which are small leaves and circular rose flowers. All round runs a 2.5" deep border formed by a wavy stem with leaves and flowers.
