Cotton or linen crepe weave, 6.5" deep plain weave at ends, embroidered with polychrome silk, silver plate, and gilt and silver thread, in double darning, fish bone, figure of eight knots, pulled fabric work, satin, and three-sided stitches. A 5.25" deep border at each end; at the outer edges a 0.25" deep band of satin stitch, gilt thread and pink silk in alternate lengths of 2.25". Above it four repeats of a motif composed of one leaf lying horizontally with two vertical above it, all filled by leaflets arranged pinnately, and with crude stylised carnations, leaves and leaflets springing from them. Fringes ravelled and twisted.
