Cotton or linen, loosely woven and embroidered with polychrome silk, gilt and silver thread in double darning, double running, fishbone, and satin stitches. A 7" deep border at each end. At the edge a 0.25" deep band of fishbone stitch in alternate blocks of pink and silver, with above three repeats of a floral spray of a carnation flower, stem and leaves, with almost circular stems bearing hyacinths curving round them.
