Cotton with horizontal stripes, in the middle 30.5" plain material inserted with stripes at selvedge, embroidered with polychrome silk and gilt thread in double darning, double running and satin stitches. At each end a 0.25" deep repeat geometric border and above it a spray of stylised rose and carnation flowers.
