Description

Cotton, crepe weave, patterned with broken stripes in coarser cotton, and embroidered with polychrome silk, gilt, and a little silver thread, in double darning, double running, fish bone and satin stitches. At each end a 0.5" deep band of double darning in gilt thread in a wavy pattern, above it two repeats of a horizontally placed complex floral spray, and above them a pine shaped spray of five petalled flowers. Fringe ravelled and twisted.
