Cotton, with five vertical stripes in thicker thread next to selvedge, embroidered with polychrome silk and gilt thread, in double darning (worked diagonally resembling cross stitch), double running and satin stitches. At each end a very narrow band in satin stitch, and above two 9.25" deep floral sprays.
