Horn with miniature of flowers in a stone vase
Horn set with a miniature in bodycolour on card, mounted under glass in gold. The circular box has straight sides and a flat pull-off lid. Round the edge of the lid and base of the box are mounts of yellow gold ropework overlaying red gold. Round the join are rim mounts in reeded yellow gold. The circular miniature depicts a stone vase of flowers, including roses, delphiniums, narcissi, and morning glory, on the corner of a marble slab.
