Linen, loosely woven terry weave, with plain bands at each end embroidered with polychrome silk and metal
thread and gold plate, in double darning and satin stitches. The ends embroidered with a repeating pattern of elaborate flower sprays linked by a meandering stem; a border of wavy stem with repeated flower, bird and foliage motifs.
