Description

Hybrid hard-paste porcelain coffee can decorated with an orange ground, with reserved motifs and gilding

Hybrid hard-paste porcelain, slightly speckled on the base of interior, with decoration reserved in a bright orange ground, and gilded. Cylindrical with a loop handle which has a slight vertical ridge. The exterior is decorated with stylized floral motifs reserved the orange ground which is overlaid by curling stems with leaves, and palmette-like motifs painted in gold. There are gold bands below the design and round the rim, and the sides and upper part of the handle are gilded. Pattern 676
