Description

19th century fake of a 17th century candlestick.
The bulbous holder for the candle is decorated with three amorati in relief; a circular dish to catch the grease has a small rim, the stem has a large knop decorated with three amorati and garlands. The base is similarly decorated with more elaborate details.
