Description

Dancing girl made from wood, gessoed panels and gilt. She sits on what may be a rock, facing the front. Her left arm is straight out with the hand pressed flat on the rock. Her right arm is raised above shoulder level.
The figure may be that of a 'nat' called Popa Mai Daw, from Burmese folklore.
