Description

Soapstone seal, with a finial in the form of a winged unicorn, carved with the characters Dan yu (pale moon). Possibly an 'art name' seal of a painter or calligrapher.

Notes

History note: Purchased at Sotheby's, July 18th 1919, lot 123. Presumably by the Wellcome Institute
