Description

Tin-glazed earthenware plate painted with plant motifs in blue, green and yellow

Buff earthenware, press-moulded, tin-glazed greyish-white, and painted in blue, green, yellow and dark reddish-brown. The glaze on the reverse is uneven and has pin-holes. Circular with an acutely sloping rim, curved sides and flat base. In the middle there is a multi-petalled flower head in yellow and darker yellow, surrounded by a wreath of blue and brown stylized leaves and green spots, which is repeated on the sloping rim.
